Early access: we’re still building our production environment. Polkadot and Astar mainnet requests are currently served through established third-party node providers while our own production nodes are being built. Paseo is a testnet.
Early access · Sydney region

RPC for builders in Asia‑Pacific.

Speedy RPC is an RPC gateway running on servers in Sydney. One API key gives you HTTPS and WebSocket endpoints for Polkadot, Astar, Astar EVM and the Paseo testnet, with clear per-key rate limits.

# HTTP JSON-RPC
curl https://api.speedyrpc.io/rpc/polkadot \
  -H "X-API-Key: $SPEEDY_KEY" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"jsonrpc":"2.0","id":1,
       "method":"system_chain","params":[]}'

# → {"jsonrpc":"2.0","id":1,"result":"Polkadot"}

# WebSocket (subscriptions)
wss://api.speedyrpc.io/ws/polkadot?api_key=$SPEEDY_KEY

What you get

A single front door for the chains we support. No node operations on your side.

AU

Served from Sydney

The gateway runs on Sydney infrastructure behind Cloudflare, built for teams in Australia and the wider Asia-Pacific region.

⇄

HTTPS + WebSocket

JSON-RPC over HTTPS for requests, WSS for subscriptions such as new heads. Same key for both.

#

Per-key limits

Every key has a published requests-per-second and concurrent-WebSocket limit. Over the limit, you get a clear HTTP 429, never silent drops.

Live networks

Replace KEY with your API key. On HTTP, send it as the X-API-Key header; on WebSocket, use the api_key query parameter.

During early access, the Sydney gateway handles authentication and rate limits and forwards requests to established third-party node providers while our own production nodes are being built.

Get an API key

During early access we issue keys personally, so you'll talk to a human.

  1. Request a key

    Email us with your project, the networks you need and your expected traffic. We'll reply with a key on the right tier.

  2. Explore the portal

    Browse networks, endpoint formats and request examples at app.speedyrpc.io.

  3. Point your app at Speedy

    Swap your RPC URL for api.speedyrpc.io and add your key. It works with polkadot.js, ethers/viem (Astar EVM) and plain curl.

Tiers & rate limits

Limits apply per API key, as enforced by the gateway today. Pricing will be announced when billing opens.
